The Art Studio of Deborah Carrie

                   Deborah Carrie's Artist Statement

My name is Deborah Carrie and I am an African American artist who was born and raised in San Francisco.  As a child , I loved to color and draw . I would color outside the lines, inside the lines and around the lines of my coloring books .  I’d add texture, suns,cloud and trees to pictures where there was blank space. Till this day I still hoard my  collection of colored pencils, crayons, paints and markers still coloring, still drawing still dreaming.

Only recently, I have started to think of myself as an ARTIST!

Currently, my favorite medium is acrylic paint on canvas . That being said I use crayons, markers , makeup and crystals to enhance my art.
